Amy Hyman joins Sporting Eric as business development director
Sporting Eric, the award-winning, sports-driven creative agency, has appointed former Wasserman client lead Amy Hyman as business development director.
The company, whose portfolio includes Rhino, Canterbury, Vodafone, Golf Traveller and the MCC, was launched eight years ago by ex-Publicis duo Alex Mead and Jane Ditcham, together with former C7 creative Simon Campbell.
Amy has extensive global experience in addressing complex business challenges, reframing brand narratives, multichannel marketing and performance tracking. She has worked across a number of well-known household brands within FMCG and the wider sports marketing world, including adidas & Arsenal FC, both in-house and agency. Having been a professional athlete herself, competing for Team GB and England, she is uniquely positioned to take on this role to help take Sporting Eric to the next level.
Amy says: “I’m really excited to be taking on this challenge and become an integral part of the Sporting Eric team, who are already producing highly resonating, emotive storytelling marketing. The world of sport is ever-changing, now more than ever, so I can’t wait bring my experience and expertise to the table and hit the ground running.”
Alex Mead, managing director of Sporting Eric, says: “We’re at a really exciting stage at Sporting Eric. After the success of last year’s award-winning A Ball for the Planet, we’ve had a fantastic summer with Building Lions (for Rhino), Curated (for Golf Traveller), and Origin Stories (for Vodafone), so Amy’s joining us at exactly the right time. She brings a wealth of experience to our sports-driven creative agency and we're thrilled to have her on board. Plus, she’ll be right at home in our unique office location – set within a vibrant, sports-focused community that perfectly matches our creative energy."
Amy joins Sporting Eric after a period of huge growth for the brand, including the award-winning A Ball for the Planet last year, and this year’s campaigns for Vodafone (Origin Stories), Golf Traveller (Curated) and Building Lions for Rhino.
