Rugby Journal shortlisted for four industry awards 

The award-winning Rugby Journal has been shortlisted for four awards at the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Talent Awards 2025. 

Sporting Eric’s multi-award-winning rugby magazine, Rugby Journal – which includes the print journal, website, newsletter and podcast – has staff writer James Price up for Best New Writer and Best Writer (Specialist Consumer); designer Eleanor Bradley up for Best Designer, and both James and Eleanor given the nod for Best Newsletter. 

The BSME Talent Awards celebrate editorial excellence, best practice and groundbreaking creativity and innovation among grassroots teams across all digital, print and social platforms, shining a light on the magazine industry's rising stars, unsung heroes and brilliant teams.

Alex Mead, Editor-In-Chief of Rugby Journal, said: “We’re really proud of our team at Sporting Eric and James and Eleanor are pivotal to the ongoing multi-platform success of Rugby Journal, they’re really deserving of every accolade. That they’re jointly up for four prestigious awards is an incredible achievement.”
