Sporting Eric up for six content awards for work in golf and rugby
Sports-driven creative agency Sporting Eric has been shortlisted in six categories for this year’s International CMA Awards for its work with Golf Traveller, Rhino and Vodafone.
The International CMA (Content Marketing Association) Awards celebrate the very best of the content marketing world, with some of the globe’s top brands and agencies among the contenders.
Sporting Eric’s six-strong nomination list includes three for Curated, the brand campaign for luxury travel experience provider Golf Traveller, which has been given the nod for best video, best travel and best specialist campaign, a category in which it’s joined by a second Sporting Eric contender, Building Lions.
The full-360 work for Rhino, which activated their British & Irish Lions sponsorship, has also been shortlisted for best b2c campaign, and completing the sextet is Origin Stories, a partnership between Vodafone and print title Rugby Journal, celebrating the next generation of women’s rugby players across the UK and Ireland. “It’s huge for us as an independent creative agency to get these nominations, but also testament to the brilliant work being done by our team in the worlds of golf and rugby,” says Alex Mead, Sporting Eric’s managing director. “Curated really showcases our unique take on luxury golf travel, something that’s borne from our almost decade-long relationship with Golf Traveller; Building Lions is a campaign with genuine legacy for Rhino from their Lions partnership; and Origin Stories really shows how two brands can perfectly align with Vodafone and Rugby Journal the perfect duo to tell the stories of epic women’s rugby players.”
The awards are announced in January. Sporting Eric won a CMA last year for their purpose-driven campaign A Ball for the Planet.
